Giving Tuesday supports Return to Work after Brain Injury & Stroke
This Giving Tuesday, we are raising funds to support our Employment Program. Returning back to work is an amazing accomplishment for individuals following their brain injury and stroke. For many of our members, this goal takes about 1-2 years to accomplish. It is not an easy feat, and we are so proud of those members who have met their goal!
Our Employment Program provides:
- Assessment of skills, work history, and any barriers to return back to work
- Addresses Work Readiness Skills such as time management, compensation techniques, quality of work, speed of work, interpersonal skills, and endurance.
- Aid clients in modifying their resume with a realistic target job in mind.
- Assistance with job searching and interviewing.
- Follows up with potential employers so that our client's resumes stand out through email, phone calls and face to face meetings.
- On the job coaching and onboarding.
- Builds relationships with employers to secure more jobs in the future.
Synapse House partners closely with the Department of Rehabilitation Services of the State of Illinois to secure and retain job placement for persons affected by brain injury, stroke and other neurological conditions.
We are grateful to those companies that have given our members a chance!
We thank you in advance for supporting our Employment Program!
